Key Responsibilities and Activities

• Gender Sensitization Programs: Conducts workshops on gender equality, women’s rights, and legal protections, educating students and staff about creating an inclusive environment.
• Counseling and Support: Offers confidential counseling services to address academic, personal, or safety-related concerns for female students.
• Skill Development: Organizes training programs in leadership, self-defense, and career planning to empower female students.
• Awareness Campaigns: Hosts events on Women’s Day, health and hygiene, and prevention of gender-based violence, collaborating with local NGOs.
• Grievance Redressal: Provides a mechanism to report and resolve issues like harassment or discrimination, ensuring a safe campus.

In 2024, the Women Cell organized a series of workshops titled “Empower: Women in Leadership,” which saw participation from over 150 female students, focusing on career guidance and public speaking skills. The cell also conducted a self-defense training program in collaboration with a local martial arts academy, training 100 students in basic self-defense techniques. Awareness campaigns on menstrual health and hygiene were held, reaching out to rural communities near Veshvi, aligning with the college’s community engagement initiatives. The cell successfully resolved 10 reported grievances in 2024, maintaining confidentiality and ensuring student trust. The Women Cell collaborates with the Counseling Center to provide mental health support and with the Cultural Committee for events celebrating women’s achievements.

• तक्रार निराकरण: छळ किंवा भेदभाव यासारख्या समस्यांची तक्रार नोंदवण्यासाठी आणि निराकरण करण्यासाठी यंत्रणा प्रदान करते, सुरक्षित कॅम्पस सुनिश्चित करते.

2024 मध्ये, महिला कक्षाने “सक्षम: महिलांचे नेतृत्व” या मालिकेअंतर्गत कार्यशाळा आयोजित केल्या, ज्यामध्ये 150 हून अधिक महिला विद्यार्थ्यांनी करिअर मार्गदर्शन आणि सार्वजनिक बोलण्याच्या कौशल्यांवर सहभाग घेतला. स्थानिक मार्शल आर्ट्स अकादमीच्या सहकार्याने स्वसंरक्षण प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम आयोजित केला गेला, ज्यामध्ये 100 विद्यार्थ्यांना मूलभूत स्वसंरक्षण तंत्र शिकवले गेले. मासिक पाळीच्या आरोग्य आणि स्वच्छतेवर जागरूकता मोहिमा आयोजित केल्या गेल्या, ज्यामुळे वेश्वी जवळील ग्रामीण समुदायांपर्यंत पोहोचले गेले, जे महाविद्यालयाच्या समुदाय सहभाग उपक्रमांशी संरेखित आहे. कक्षाने 2024 मध्ये 10 तक्रारींचे यशस्वीपणे निराकरण केले, गोपनीयता राखून आणि विद्यार्थ्यांचा विश्वास सुनिश्चित केला. महिला कक्ष मानसिक आरोग्य समर्थनासाठी समुपदेशन केंद्राशी आणि महिलांच्या यशाचा उत्सव साजरा करण्यासाठी सांस्कृतिक समितीशी सहकार्य करते.
